Later in the day, we tried to beat the heat by going swimming. Andy was so excited to go swimming with Quinn for the first time since we were in Florida back in April.

Check out that fuzzy head of hair!!

Psalm 127:3 Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.

The rest of these pictures are just fun moments from the last week.
Checking out the view from Daddy's shoulders
Checking out cousin Fiona
Having an absolute blast with Aunt Carolyn at her pool
Wearing a special shirt for Mommy that reads, "If you think I'm cute, you should see my mommy". Quinn told me he wanted to wear it. Really!! :)
We've been working on helping Quinn learn how to soothe himself to sleep at nap time, and he finally discovered sucking his thumb. It melts my heart every time I see him asleep like this.
Quinn loves hanging out on Mommy and Daddy's bed in the morning. He is so close to sitting up on his own and can hold himself up for a few seconds before tipping to the side or forward.
You guessed it--Quinn's watching the ceiling fan again and looks purely delighted.
What a great surprise! Andy's Aunt LuAnn and cousin Kamryn were in town for the day to watch a tennis tournament. We were so excited to get to see them for awhile!
What a dynamic duo--Daddy and Quinn!
It's a little blurry, but I love this face.
I was thankful for the cooler weather this week for one reason--getting to dress Quinn in some warmer outfits that he's quickly growing out of! We love this Adidas outfit (with matching Adidas pants that don't show in this pic) from Daniel and Amanda Hernandez.
Quinn and Daddy were all smiles on Sunday morning.
I love this picture of our wonderful friends' boys Colin and Issac Kuhn. They are the most darling boys, and it's so fun to see what I have to look forward to. This picture cracked me up because Issac soooo wanted to pet Quinn's head but knew he wasn't supposed to. ( :
We had a very fun visit with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dennis this weekend. Quinn loved swinging with Grandma Mary on our front porch swing.
Aunt Amy drove all the way here by herself just to spend the day with her nephew. Quinn was thrilled to see her!
This week, Quinn discovered his toes and . . .
his dog, Oliver! He is just fascinated by Oliver, even smiling at him sometimes, but sadly, Oliver still seems to not realize Quinn is there. : )
While at first glance, this may look like a boring picture, it was actually quite exciting. Quinn woke up at 5 the other morning, which is normal for a nighttime feeding. When I went into his nursery, however, I saw the top of his head--he had rolled over onto his tummy but couldn't figure out how to roll back! It was very exciting because since rolling over onto his tummy a few weeks ago, he's lost interest in doing it. After I fed him, I put him back in his crib, and he promptly flipped to his tummy again and fell asleep. It was so cute I had to wake Andy up to show him and take a picture.
We were able to spend two afternoons with Will and Nan this week. Our guys are getting so good at their Jumperoos and Exersaucers. Will is a wonderful model for how to grab toys and play with them more. They still don't look at each other too much, but Nan and I know they'll be best friends soon.
Each day this week was beautifully sunny and warm. I like this picture of us before going on a walk because I love Quinn's chubby little thighs hanging out the bottom. : ) Quinn's face is funny too; he really does like being in the Baby Bjorn even though he looks like a grumpy old man in this picture.

These two pictures I had to share of my beautiful nieces Carys and Fiona. Carys is a wonderful big sister (and big cousin!), and I love the interaction between them in these pictures.
Quinn loved being at the pool . . .for about 20 minutes. Then he would fall asleep. : )
This smile is in reaction to seeing his daddy walk out toward him. It was such a treat to have Daddy around during the daytime for 7 days straight.

Quinn had to wear his sunglasses to be like his cool Uncle Johnny!
Beach Baby!!
Siesta Key Beach has been a special place for Andy and me for years, so we were so excited to bring Quinn there.
We had a great time visiting with "Uncle" Dustin, Andy's best friend from home. He lives in Tampa, so he made the drive down. He hadn't seen Quinn since he was 3 weeks old, so we had fun showing him off. Hopefully we'll get to see Dustin again before Quinn is walking and talking!
