Florida Fun!!

We are having a WONDERFUL time in Sarasota, Florida, on our first family vacation. The weather has been in the 80's and sunny every day. Quinn is enjoying all kinds of firsts: plane ride, meeting his great-grandparents, swimming in the pool, etc.

Daddy took Quinn into the pool for the first time yesterday. He wasn't so sure about it at first, but then he really liked it. I think he was curious about why his bath tub was so big all of a sudden and why so many people were joining him in bathtime!

Since Quinn always wants to be sitting up but can't quite yet, Mommy got creative and put his floaty in the stroller. It works! Thanks to Nan for lending us the activity mat that's on the ground next to the stroller. He loves that too!

Mommy is all smiles as we land in Sarasota. The people around us in business class weren't too happy to see us board, but everyone exclaimed about what an amazing baby he was after he didn't make one peep the entire flight. Hopefully the return trip will be the same.

South Bend Saturday

While Daddy went to the Blue-Gold game at Notre Dame, Quinn and Mommy got to visit with Grandma Mary, Aunt Amy, Gigi, and Grandpa Dennis.

Quinn was very talkative all day, and he loved telling Gigi all about his latest adventures.

Quinn turned four months old this week. I continue to be amazed at how quickly the time has gone. It's so fun to look back and realize how much he's learned how to do already, knowing there is so much more to come!

Will is a month older, so he was passing on some wisdom. I think he told Quinn, "Don't worry. You won't always be so floppy in your Bumbo seat!"

First trip to Illinois

Ending his exciting week, we went home to Illinois for Quinn's first visit to Poppa and Grandma Schley's house and his first time staying overnight anywhere. We had a wonderful visit; Quinn slept well and played hard.

Quinn has a new trick!

It's been an exciting week! Quinn had his first Easter, he slept through the night for real for the first time (10:45 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.), and he had his four month doctor's appointment, where we found out he weighs 14 lbs. 12 oz. (the 58th percentile) and is 25.5 inches tall (the 79th percentile).


Also, Papa Bruce came to visit today! He picked a great day to come because he got to see the most fun event so far this week: Quinn's newest trick--he rolls over from back to front! It was so exciting to see him do that for the first time today.

Our first Easter as a family!

We really enjoyed Easter church service as a family.

Just for some perspective to see how similar in size our two little guys are. Everyone asks how Oliver does with Quinn. If Oliver could talk, I think his answer would be, "Quinn who?" He truly doesn't seem to notice Quinn exists. Maybe he'll notice Quinn more when he's crawling?

AHHH!! It's Easter!!!! The two cousins show off their bunny shirts and wide mouths on Easter Sunday after dinner. We wish older cousin Carys could have joined the picture, but who knows when we'll ever get all three of them awake, happy, well dressed, willing to pose, etc. at the same time. Hopefully within the next year. . . :)

Fiona and Quinn finally spent some time together when both of them had their eyes open! Thanks to Grandma Schley for taking these pictures.
