A Day Out with Thomas

Today we went to a Day Out with Thomas. It was a little bit spontaneous; we just decided a few days ago to go today, beating the weekend crowds. I'm really glad we went on a Friday because while it is a fun event and full of photo ops, it's not worth braving large crowds and steaming hot weather for. It took us a little longer to drive there than we thought it would too, but Quinn had a great time. He loved seeing the "real" Thomas because he has commented before when we see trains that "They don't have faces!". We didn't ride the train, since we've already told Quinn we'd ride the train to the state fair in August, and it's the same idea, just cheaper and without a Thomas face on the front! He didn't mind at all. He got Thomas tattoos, golfed on a mini-course, went to the petting zoo, met Sir Topham Hatt, and really just enjoyed the festive atmosphere. I think Thomas is one of the cutest characters available to kids, so I'm more than happy to support the company. It was a fun family outing!!

He is so cute, Sam! He looks a lot like his Daddy to me, but that cheesy little grin has Mommy in it. :) I showed my mom some pics of him and she thought so, too. I will have to show these pictures to Holden. He adores Thomas and all things trains. It looks so neat! Is it in Pennsylvania? I remember a Jon and Kate Plus 8 episode where they took the kids there. (When they were together! So sad.) Glad you had a fun day.
